ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) — The City of Elizabethton issued a boil water notice for system areas affected by water line repairs on Watauga Road.
Crews have begun work to restore service, but all residents experiencing low pressure during or after the repair are advised to bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before use, according to a social media post by the City of Elizabethton.
The city also said to let the water cool before use, and that boiling water is unnecessary for washing clothes, bathing, or washing dishes.
