WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — A helicopter crashed Wednesday morning in Walton County, and the impact caused it to burst into flames, leaving a significant black mark in a field.
Two people in the Bell 200 were able to escape before it caught on fire.
They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries was not known, but Walton County police said they were not life-threatening.

The aircraft was significantly damaged, and a photo sent to 11Alive shows light smoke rising from the wreckage.
