Newton County is making the news in Great Britain as Johnson Matthey, which is said to be a leader in the supply of chemical catalysts in the refining industry, announces that the company along with Honeywell has been selected to supply the necessary chemicals, along with other equipment needed to produce biodiesel and jet fuel at the location in Bon Wier which once served as the Louisiana Pacific Plywood Mill on Farm to Market Road 1416.

The company had already announced earlier this year that it had already cut a deal with Honeywell for equipment to run the process which will produced aviation grade jet fuel.

When will construction begin is still unknown but one of the backers of the. Project says preparations are still underway.
