KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are still searching for two suspects they say were involved in a Sunday shooting and carjacking near Western Michigan University's campus in Kalamazoo.

Abram Thang told News 8 he and his girlfriend, Mya, were the victims of the armed carjacking. Thang told News 8 he was visiting friends at their new apartment off North Kendall Avenue, just one mile away from WMU. He said that visit will stick with him forever, for the wrong reasons.

"I am not going to forget that moment," he said. "I just happened to be unlucky, wrong place at the wrong time."
