CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. — Ron Hall is the owner of Jon Smith Subs and the Meaner Weiner in Harrogate.

"I would see them parked along the side of the road in various places, usually trying to get under a shade tree or something like that, and they were just sitting in their ambulances," said Hall.

Hall has opened his business for work and a place to stretch for Claiborne County EMS workers after their base in the City of Harrogate went away on June 30, 2025. Harrogate Mayor Troy Poore says city leaders asked the ambulance service run by Covenant Health to leave their old building so they could move the Harrogate Volunteer Fire Department under one roof.

"We discussed it for two months, and we decided what we would do is through the contract we would ask EMS to leave this building," Poore
