The National Alliance to End Homelessness says a re-issuance of a federal grant opportunity from the Department of Housing and Urban Development renders two prior versions as an "unfortunate waste of everybody's time."
CEO Ann Oliva said organizations fighting homelessness have worked on their applications since late last year, but the Trump administration rescinded the opportunity and reissued it.
A grant opportunity posted last Friday is HUD's third version of the grant application, Oliva told KETV. The posting says it supersedes the prior versions, which Oliva says organizations already thought they had won funding for last month.
The latest version is due next Friday. The funding expires at the end of the month, Oliva said.
