LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A new initiative is encouraging people to dine local and explore culturally diverse foods along North 27th Street.
The program, launched by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lincoln, is called Taste 27th .
Lincoln was recently named one of only two 4-star welcoming communities in the country. Organizers say 27th Street is a perfect example of that recognition, serving as a microcosm of the city’s diversity.
“There’s been a lot of new restaurants and new businesses that have kind of come along this stretch in this corridor,” said Chris Whitney with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. “It just kind of seemed like it made the most sense to really get the most diversity and really get people different experiences going from restaurant to restaurant.”
