They were the three deaths that shocked the city. Three teenage boys aged just 15 or 16 who were stabbed to death by other teenage boys in a sudden increase in knife crime and youth violence at the start of 2024.

Now, the deaths of Max Dixon, Mason Rist and Darrian Williams - along with a knife attack that almost cost a fourth boy his life in the same period - are the subject of a ‘ Child Safeguarding Practice Review ’, which has looked into the situation regarding Bristol’s collective work to keep children safe.
