PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was arrested on Monday after breaking into a woman's home and performing sexual acts while she slept, the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to a call shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, which stated that she woke up to a known person, identified as Brazton Jacobs, 20, in her bedroom holding a knife toward her as he performed sexual acts.

According to CCSO, the victim said he attempted to make her engage in the acts, but he refused, and Jacobs left.

The victim took an audio recording during the incident and provided it to detectives.

Detectives located Jacobs at his home, and he was taken to the Major Crimes Unit office for an interview.
