ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A staff member of the Naples Central School District has been placed on leave following social media posts about the deadly shooting of political activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a Utah university on Wednesday. The school district said that it became aware of a staff member's social media posts, following community concerns and outrage.

The posts, which are circulating on social media, contain profanity targeting Trump supporters and Kirk's fans, mocking and calling Kirk a Nazi, along with a photo of a T-shirt that reads "Is He Dead Yet?"

The posts in question belong to an employee listed as a teacher on the school district's website. The district said that all voices in this matter have been heard, saying in a statement:
