HILLIARD, Ohio — Police arrested a Hilliard man accused of vandalizing city buildings over the summer.

According to reports from the Hilliard Division of Police, officers received multiple reports about different properties being vandalized between July 14 and Sept. 9. The properties included the new Hilliard Athletic Complex on Cosgray Road and the Hilliard Food Pantry on Main Street.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, police say the words spray painted on the properties referenced the Ku Klux Klan, threats to President Donald Trump and coincided with the national “No Kings” movement.

During the investigation, court records state that numerous racist and anti-government criminal damaging incidents occurred in the city and surrounding jurisdictions.
