Cumberland County has named EMS veteran Garry Crumpler as its next Emergency Services director.

Officials announced Crumpler's promotion Sept. 10. He'd been serving as interim Emergency Services director after the retirement of Gene Booth in May.

Crumpler's worked for the county since 2019 and has 18 years of experience in fire, rescue, emergency medical services and emergency management, the news release said.
