A proposal to change an Albert Street triplex into an inn for short-term rentals was rejected by council on the advice of staff this week.

The property in question – 220 Albert St. in the city’s downtown area – is already zoned for short-term rentals on the condition that the owner lives in one of the units. Owner Sally Headly was looking to make the building an extension of her Sally’s Place B&B, which currently encompasses 295 and 299 Ontario St. These properties sit directly behind the building on Albert Street.
