SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WXIX) - A missing American burial flag is back with a Loveland Family after more than a decade.
“Things get misplaced, people move, or family members have dementia and whether it’s a flag or anything else, if we can track the family down, we love to do that,” explained Junk King co-owner Jack Brendamour.
Junk King prides itself on junk removal.
The company also donates what it can to help numerous nonprofits in the Cincinnati area.
Brendamour said a lot of unwanted items find their way to his Sharonville location, and for one reason or another, so do American burial flags.
An American burial flag honors a deceased U.S. military veteran for their service and sacrifice to the country.
The flag is traditionally draped over a veteran’s coffin or accompanied by an urn.
