RAMSEY COUNTY — A Devils Lake police officer has been charged with terrorizing following a Tuesday incident in which he is accused of barricading himself in his home while off duty and threatening to shoot himself.

Rey William Hennen, 37, faces up to five years in prison for the Class C felony charge of terrorizing.

The criminal information document filed Tuesday, Sept. 8, says Hennen threatened to shoot himself while engaging with law enforcement at his residence. While making these threats, his children were in the residence, and surrounding neighbors were forced to evacuate the area or shelter in place, according to the information.
