DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Duplin County deputies say they arrested a man on theft and drug-related charges.

On Aug. 14, Duplin County deputies were called to a possible theft at a hog farm near Albertson. They discovered that the items were stolen from a Johnston County Prestage farm.

With help from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Michael Stevenson Jr., of Sneads Ferry, yesterday.

The 44-year-old is facing the following charges:

Felony larceny

Felony possession of stolen goods

Felony obtain property by false pretense

On Aug. 13 and 14, prior to the theft report, deputies stopped Stevenson twice while he was driving.

He was charged with felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
