Following a soft launch on April 29, the ribbon was cut on Wednesday, Sept. 10, by Kingston Deputy Mayor Paul Chaves and Liberal Member of Provincial Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, Ted Hsu.
After a few speeches, a tour of the facility was offered to those who wanted to explore the 17,500-square-foot facility – a big jump from the old two-storey facility of 8,100 feet.
The new food bank isn’t just bigger than the old one.
