NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Over on South Main Street in Springfield, there's a store not quite like any other. A pharmacy in downtown Springfield makes neighbors feel like family, and its history stretches back more than a century.

South Side Drugs holds a special place in the hearts of many. It first welcomed Springfield residents in 1919, and it's been a staple in the community ever since. Ian Bradley and Drew Sloan are co-owners.

"We've got a great staff that takes care of people, and those people thankfully love to come here and be taken care of," Bradley said.

Drew's father, Don Sloan, bought the pharmacy back in 1973. Prior to that, the business was owned and operated by the Maxwell Family for nearly 50 years. Don and his wife, Susie Sloan worked to make the pharmacy what it is tod
