WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A traveling replica of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. has made its way to Connecticut.

The monument will be at Cove Park in Wethersfield this week and has panels commemorating conflicts from World War I through the war in Afghanistan.

The wall is about the size of a football field.

An opening on Thursday featured a moment of silence for the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, and there will be prisoner of war and missing in action readings through the weekend to recognize those in the war.

"Very sad, we lost a lot of people," Monty from Wethersfield said. "They should post that more often, so more people can see this, and understand what they represent."
