The public has finally heard from Rep. Nick Langworthy on actions he has undertaken to beat back any attempts that might be made to roll back the “1,500-hour rule” that has arguably kept our skies safer.

The 1,500-hour rule mandates that pilots gain that much experience before flying a commercial passenger aircraft. The families of those who died in the 2009 crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407 in Clarence fought hard for the legislation – along with, for all 16 years, the tireless assistance of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
