JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Members with the W.R. Castle Fire-Rescue squad responded to a head-on crash on Thursday.
Members with the department posted on Facebook that they responded to that collision just after noon on U.S. 23 near Rush Fork.
Crews said both drivers involved in the crash were seriously injured and firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue tools to free one of them from the wreckage.
One person was taken to Pikeville Medical Center while the other was flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital.
No names were released.
