For the first time in a long time, Mat-Su Valley residents are now able to recycle glass.
After a year of planning and approvals from the borough as well as the landfill, the Valley Community for Recycling Solutions' brand new glass processing machine is now open for business.
Pamela Ness with the Valley Community for Recycling Solutions proclaims, "A lot of people wanted to recycle glass. We were getting calls all the time."
Folks can drop off their recyclable glass for free at the plant, but as it is a nonprofit, donations are greatly appreciated.
