BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS : We are tracking isolated showers moving south across north Alabama this evening. I can’t promise much rain, but it is nice to see our forecast verifying with at least a few isolated pop-ups. The chances of rain will remain very low through this evening, although if you are attending a game or the concert in Tuscaloosa, a brief, isolated passing shower or sprinkles moving north to south isn’t totally zero. Otherwise, partly to mostly clear, with lows in the 60s.
THE NEXT BIG THING : We now have expanding moderate drought conditions across Alabama, and this will only worsen through early next week. A northerly flow continues, and you may notice some haze on the horizon from Canada Wildfire smoke. Dry weather will be the story for the week
