JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) - ETSU students from both sides of the political aisle are reacting to the death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
Much of Kirk's audience was college students, as he was known for going around and having discussions and debates with students on college campuses. Kirk also founded Turning Point USA - an organization that includes college chapters.
One student told News Channel 11 that he used to be part of ETSU's Turning Point USA chapter, but his schedule became too busy.
"Seeing that, even though I didn't know Charlie personally, I still felt like I did, and it just took a big impact on me, even just seeing someone like that killed in broad daylight in such a horrific way," he said.
