On Thursday at 5:37 p.m. a flood advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 8:45 p.m. for Malheur County.

The weather service says, "Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."

"Rises in small streams," says the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain low water crossings are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route."
