OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Nearly three months after a groundbreaking at The Crossroads, there’s more activity finally happening at the site.
First Alert 6 saw construction equipment on the move again Thursday at the 72nd and Dodge mall work site — a day before Mayor John Ewing is expected to give an update on the development at the high-profile intersection.
City Councilman Pete Festersen and representatives of Woodbury Corp. and MCL Construction are expected to join the mayor there for a 3 p.m. news conference.
Thursday’s activity was the first signs of life seen at the site since on June 16, when developers held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Gamescape by Cinemark movie theater and family entertainment center.
