GRAPEVINE, Texas — Parents in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD are raising alarms over the possibility of school closures as the district says it faces shrinking enrollment and financial strain.
At Dove Elementary School in Grapevine, a group of parents gathered after school and voiced frustration. Several parents told WFAA that they feel shut out of the district's process, and after seeing the committee's proposed rezoned maps, they're worried their school is facing closure.
“Our community has been blindsided,” said Dove Elementary parent Courtney Fray. “It seems like these decisions were made about us without us.”
