The NHC indicated that environmental conditions seem conducive to the gradual development of the system throughout the weekend.
A tropical depression could form during the early to middle part of next week, NHC says.
The system is expected to move west-northward at about 15 mph over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
The system will encounter Saharan dust and dry air, which could decrease the chances for development.
