The Glen Alpine Sports Hall of Fame has announced the 2025 class that will be inducted in its 14th induction banquet on Oct. 18.

The event will be held at the Glen Alpine United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the Glen Alpine Town Hall, Fox Hole Pizza or Carolina Ribbon.

The Class of 2025 includes five inductees:

Gerald Allen Jr.

Allen is a 1980 Freedom High graduate where he participated in three years of wrestling and cross country. He was a volunteer wrestling coach for 22 years at the junior high and high school level.

He was a mixed martial arts champion with a 22-2 record and competed in numerous Toughman contests in regional and national events. Allen also participated in kickboxing.

Paul "Buck" Butler

Butler is a 1964 Glen Alpin
