GREENVILLE, S.C. (WBTV) - A teacher in South Carolina was fired on Thursday for comments he allegedly made regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk .
Wynne Boliek, a teacher with the Greenville County School District, was accused of posting that “America became greater” following Kirk’s murder.
According to our sister station WHNS , Boliek’s full post read: “Thoughts and prayers to his children, but IMHO America became greater today. There, I said it.”
Officials initially reported that Boliek had been placed on leave because of the post, but later on Thursday, Sept. 11, they confirmed he was no longer employed with the district. He had taught social studies at Southside High School.
