Jakub Stolarczyk has to prove he deserves to continue as Leicester City’s number one with Marti Cifuentes deciding not to set out a goalkeeper pecking order.

City added a third senior keeper to their ranks last weekend with the signing of Fran Vieites, the Spaniard available on a free after he left Real Betis last month.

While Vieites was second choice at Betis last season, he played plenty of matches, including eight knockout ties in the Europa Conference League, helping the La Liga side to reach the final.

Stolarczyk, who took the number one shirt this summer and had stepped up to become first-choice goalkeeper following Mads Hermansen’s sale, is expected to keep his place between the sticks for now, especially following a strong start to the campaign.
