Nearly six months after the tragic death of Miller Gardner, the teenage son of former Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, the case is back in the spotlight. According to reports, Costa Rican authorities have raided the luxury resort where it happened, searching for evidence that could finally determine whether the hotel’s failures were simply an accident or something criminal.
Miller died in March while on vacation with his family. Initially, there were questions about what caused it, but an autopsy later confirmed he passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning. The family’s hotel suite shared a wall with a mechanical room, which investigators believe may have leaked the deadly gas. Notably, several members had fallen ill, but Brett Gardner’s son Miller passed away in his sleep.
