CLEVELAND, Ohio — West Michigan rode a perfect outing from starting pitcher Hayden Minton and a decisive fourth-inning rally to blank Lake County, 4-0, in game two of the Midwest League Division Championship Series on Thursday, advancing to play for the league title in a series that will start Saturday.

Minton was untouchable through six hitless innings, allowing no earned runs while striking out five batters to pick up his first postseason win. The dominant outing set the tone for the Whitecaps, who finished the regular season with a record-setting 93 wins.
