A 19-year-old man is facing charges after an incident that led police to issue an dangerous person alert on the Big River First Nation.

According to the RCMP, officers got a call about an armed man on the First Nation northwest of Shellbrook just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

“Investigation determined the male was driving around the community on a dirt bike and had discharged a firearm several times,” the RCMP said in a statement. “No physical injuries were reported.”
