Jefferson Apartment residents are coming together to support each other after a massive fire destroyed their homes and possessions.

Newlyweds Jasper Mays and Jonahcharis Brown, who had moved into the apartments just over a month ago, lost their home, possessions, and sacred treasures in the blaze. Advertisement

"There's a lot of memories that they're gone. And it's hard. It's going to be hard. But I know that I'm just happy to be here," Mays said.

The couple managed to escape with just a phone and wallet, unaware of just how severe the fire would become.
