RAYMOND, Iowa — A tense standoff unfolded on Thursday when Stallone Purdy from La Porte City allegedly threatened a patron at Tipsy’s Bar before fleeing in a white sedan. Black Hawk County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the bar at 10:42 p.m., but say Purdy had already left the scene. Later, a deputy discovered Purdy's white Ford Fusion in a ditch on the 8200 block of La Porte Road. The deputy says Purdy exited the vehicle and ran into a nearby cornfield, threatening to shoot law enforcement officers. Authorities, including SWAT and Drone teams, responded to the situation.
