A football club has been left “heartbroken” by the death of a mum, 44, known for her “ever-present smile and warm personality”.

Alanna Grant was a much-loved member of Whitstable Town FC, creating a “welcoming atmosphere” for players, supporters, and visitors.

She was a member of the club’s matchday hospitality team, a “dedicated” registration secretary, and a “friendly face” who was said to have given a lot of time to the club.

But sadly, after a “courageous” battle with cancer, she died on Tuesday, aged just 44.

Whitstable Town FC has released a statement, paying an emotional tribute to the stalwart supporter.

“Her life was tragically cut short far too soon,” the club said.

“Known for her ever-present smile and warm personality, Alanna was truly the social butterfly of our club.
