An unfinished housing estate branded a “horrendous chalk scar” on the Kent Downs remains in limbo - six months after developers went bust.

Residents have voiced their frustration at the lack of progress at the half-built 29-home White Cliffs Court scheme off Folkestone Road, Dover.

Drone pictures show how construction has carved a blot of chalk into the hillside.

Council bosses served an enforcement notice for work to stop last year, which the developers appealed - but a date for that hearing has still not been set.

Dan Piddock, who has lived opposite the site for more than 16 years, has branded the project a “joke”.

“The whole thing has been a disgrace,” he told KentOnline.

“I’ve got the best neighbours in the world and they’re now wanting to sell
