This weekend will feel longer than any previous one for hunters. Sunday, Sept. 14, is the first day of Sunday hunting since lawmakers lifted the century-old ban this year.

"This weekend is one for the history books,” said Game Commission Executive Director Steve Smith.
Hunters will be able to hunt for squirrel, woodchucks, coyotes, antlerless deer on Ag Tag properties, crows and bobwhite quail. From this week on, Sunday hunting is permitted within any established season, except migratory birds.
The Sunday hunting dates are: • Sept. 14, 2025 • Sept. 21, 2025 • Sept. 28, 2025 • Oct. 5, 2025 • Oct. 12, 2025 • Oct. 19, 2025 • Oct. 26, 2025 • Nov. 2, 2025 • Nov. 9, 2025 •
