AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - In just a few months, one lucky family in Aiken will be walking into a brand new home!

It’s not just a regular home; it’s constructed primarily by women volunteers who are a part of the Aiken County Women Build Program.

They’re Finding Solutions in making a difference one home at a time. These ladies make the job look easy. That’s because this is their 14th home.

They’re a part of Habitat for Humanity, and since 2005, they’ve been constructing homes for families in need through the Women Build Program.

“We try to empower women to come together. Work as a team, so they can learn basic carpentry skills, painting skills, and with all that knowledge, we have built this home for our homeowner,” said Mindi Adams, co-chair, Women Build Committee.
