AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A big day for one local kid who’s been battling nerve cancer.

Friday was Ace’s final day of radiation treatment at the Georgia Cancer Center.

In August, the cancer center’s radiation therapy team took the next step in its Pediatric Anesthesia Project.

Augusta University students craft ‘Hands of Hope’ for suicide prevention

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and on Thursday, students at Augusta University crafted ‘Hands of Hope’ for those who wrestle with thoughts of self-harm.

This project launched on Aug. 11 with Ace’s treatment, their first patient.
