There are 11 full time support workers on strike at Collège Boréal and an undisclosed number at Northern College on the picket line since Thursday at midnight.

Classes are continuing, while picket lines have sprung up in front of Northern’s office on Second Avenue and in front of Collège Boréal on Thériault Boulevard.

Some students may have more difficulty accessing their student loans during the job action, but faculty are still expected to cross the picket line, to allow services to continue.

There are 279 full time support workers at all of Boréal’s eight campuses affected by the strike action.
