JOHNSTOWN, Ohio — The Johnstown-Monroe Local School District has completed a six-classroom expansion at its high school to accommodate expected population growth from the nearby Intel plant.

The expansion allows the high school to accommodate about 150 additional students. The addition also enables the district to offer more specialized courses to meet workforce demands.

"We're really subject to growth, and we know there's going to be growth, so part of this expansion was to accommodate the student growth. The other part of it is program enhancement," said Philip Wagner, Johnstown-Monroe superintendent.
