COLUMBIA — MU Health Care said it helped advise Mizzou Athletics move the kickoff time for Saturday's football game against Louisiana from 3 p.m. to noon. Christopher Sampson, a supervising physician with MU Health Care, said this change is for the comfort of both fans and players.

"Getting the game started earlier, more people will start tailgating in the early morning when it's a little bit cooler and then hopefully the game's ending before the temperatures start climbing in the early afternoon because even if the fans think it's hot, even on the field it's gonna feel a whole lot hotter," Sampson said.
