As the President of the Midland Independent School District Board of Trustees, I want to address recent rhetoric used by a MISD teacher in our classroom concerning political violence and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The MISD Board firmly opposes the introduction of celebrating murder and other violent controversial topics in the presence of our students, as this contradicts our policies aimed at maintaining a respectful educational environment.
