CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Hamilton County judge has been removed from the Joe Burrow Foundation as calls grow for his resignation after he allegedly made several social media posts seemingly applauding the assassination of political commentator Charlie Kirk.

Attorney and Rep. Adam Mathews (R-Lebonon) released a statement on Friday calling for the resignation of municipal court Judge Ted Berry following Kirk’s death, stating that the judge’s remarks violated the Ohio Code of Judicial Conduct.

“A judge must be a pillar of fairness and impartiality in our community,” Rep. Mathews said in the statement. “To see a sitting judge post comments like ‘Rest in Hatred & Division!’, ask ‘How’s he feel about gun violence & gun control in Hell, now?’, and then celebrate the race of the killer by stating ‘
