BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police are asking for the public’s help identifying two men accused of robbing a Dollar General store at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched around 3:23 p.m. Sept. 12 to the store at 3710 Highland Avenue after reports of a robbery, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.

Investigators said two men wearing black hoodies and masks entered the store armed with handguns.

One suspect grabbed a female employee by the neck, pressed a firearm into her back, and forced her to open the cash registers. The second suspect also had a handgun, police said.

Both suspects fled the store on foot, heading westbound, according to detectives.
