Royal Caribbean has extended its halt on visits to the company’s private destination in Haiti due to concerns about ongoing violence in the Caribbean country.

The travel company announced in April that it had paused visits to Labadee, a private beach resort owned by Royal Caribbean, located on the northern coast of Haiti. It’s about a six hour drive from the country’s capital, Port-au-Prince.

It was the second time the company suspended the excursions since 2024.

Now, according to TravelPulse , the company has extended that suspension at least until May 2026. Anyone who bought a trip to the resort has been notified.

“We have been monitoring the evolving situation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and out of an abundance of caution, we’re cancelling our visit to Labadee,” Royal Caribbean sa
