TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A social media post by a Tucson City Council member about the Charlie Kirk assassination is stirring response by those on both sides of the political spectrum.

Councilmember Lane Santa Cruz has since taken down the Instagram post and posted a response.

The original post from Councilmember Lane Santa Cruz’s Instagram account stated, “krama,” likely meaning “karma,” and “if you know you know” followed by a curse in Spanish.

The other part of the post is a quote attributed to author John Pavlovitz, who wrote that Charlie Kirk said that he cannot stand the word empathy.

The two posts are no longer visible on the councilmember’s account which is now set to private.
