A man is no longer being charged in his father's death after a Sacramento County bar fight led to a shooting and a vehicle crash , court records show.

Sacramento County courts confirmed that a jury trial on Sept. 8 resulted in 33-year-old Oscar Alferez Jr. being acquitted of his charges relating to the killing of 51-year-old Oscar Alferez Sr.

Alferez Jr. is believed to have picked a fight with an unarmed man inside Harry's Lounge on Auburn Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 26, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said. That fight continued outside in the parking lot.

During the confrontation, which involved several people, the sheriff's office said Alferez Sr. pulled out a handgun. However, he was knocked to the ground and disarmed.
